Is Hydro-Jetting Really the Best Way to Clean Drains?

hydro-jettingHydro-jetting is often praised as one of the best methods for cleaning drains. Essentially, a hydro-jet is a line with a jet at the end. The jet sprays highly pressurized water in several angles to wash out the inside of pipes.

Your alternatives are drain cleaners, which can be harmful to the pipes, slow, and only effective in a small area. There are also drain snakes, which are effective at breaking up a clog but really have nothing to do with “cleaning.” When a professional plumber uses these tactics, it’s often for a strategic purpose.
